Chronicle As Books A Moment (Moments #1)

A chance meeting...
Life didn't turn out the way I'd ever hoped it would. I got pregnant at 14. Same year my mom got diagnosed with MS. Dad bailed on us and my life felt like it suddenly started to spiral out of control. I'm 21 now, I go to college, I work hard, trying to make something of myself. I wasn't supposed to be at that burlesque bar Valentine's Day. I wasn't supposed to meet Ryan Cosgrove, but I did. And now nothing will ever be the same.

Love born from pain...
I'm a retired Marine, an MMA fighter, and when I was younger something terrible happened to me. Life is hard and I'm so tired of pretending its not. I'm in a burlesque bar, drowning my sorrows, trying to shut out the demons breathing down my neck always reminding me I'm not good enough. Then I see Liliana Delgado and something inside of me- something I'd thought long dead- stirs to life. I wonder... can she save me? I hope she can, because I don't think I can save myself.

This is our moment...

Weigh Up About Books A Moment (Moments #1)
As the mom of a child on the autism spectrum, I couldn't help but love this romance story of two wounded people who find solace in each other...one of whom is raising a child on the spectrum. :::sniff sniff:::

Initial reaction: Probably going to rate this around 1.5 - 2 stars. It's not that I don't think this book touched on some rather tough themes (sexual abuse, teen pregnancy, etc.), but there were parts of this that felt so derivative and drawn out that I didn't care for it. Hopefully I can explain more in my full review.Full review:Oy vey, this is a tough review for me to write, and fittingly for a tough book such as "A Moment". If only this book hadn't delved into so many New Adult cliches and

DNF @ 33% WARNING! SAFE GANG TRIGGERS: OW/OM See spoilers bellowThere are three words describing my feelings :ANGERHURTDISAPPOINTMENTI cannot believe the author would put that stunt destroying the "whole good experience" I was having up to the point of that disgusting, cheap of a plot that I read countless of times with "exactly" the same results: No exception here! I have ALREADY invested myself with the characters forming an emotional connection to "both Hero and heroine" and BAM!!! This

I'm still undecided about this story. I've just finished the book. What words immediately spring to mind are: - dark, intense, brutal, fiery, terror. All of which are gathered in the pages of A Moment.Lily is a 21 year old college student with a 7 year old autistic little boy, and a mother with MS. Life isn't pretty for her. She gets by every day hoping for a little love, even just a look from her son. She gets love returned from her mother but Lily knows that time is getting short for her Mama.

A MOMENT is one of those books I have had for a while and I just got around to reading it. If you have it, then consider this your call to action! Its a great book! If you dont have it, then you have absolutely no excuse, because it is currently FREE at Amazon (as of 8/31/13) .A MOMENT is sweet and emotional and there is a lot going on with the characters in this book.Liliana Delgado is lovely. I just want to hug her! She has the weight of the world on her shoulders. After a one-night stand at

I wanted so much to rate this book higher, but no.I mean, it's easy to get swayed with oh-my-god-this-is-so-beautiful, but in reality, this story lacked. It's gonna be weird to review it because I really did love it. I just didn't love it.While I thought Ryan was an amazing character - the rawness of what he was going through, the way Marie Hall told his story without saying a word and you pieced it all together and were dreading the moment you heard it all because you knew it was going to be

"The dictionary defines a moment as a minute portion or point of time. But for me, its more. I see a moment the way a scientist does the product of quantity (as a force) and the distance to a particular axis or point. A moment is that indefinable period in your life that only makes sense when you look back and you realize I made the right choice. I didnt know it then, but I made the right choice and Id do it all over. Wow, this was a story that moved me at my core. I think Marie Hall has
