Representaion To Books Sammy Keyes and the Killer Cruise (Sammy Keyes #17)
"The most winning junior detective ever in teen lit. (Take that, Nancy Drew!)" —Midwest Children's Book ReviewSammy knew that getting to know her new rockstar dad on a cruise would be a little uncomfortable. . . . But when the heiress to a perfume empire disappears from the ship, it turns out everyone's in for a rocky ride.
In this penultimate book in the Sammy Keyes mystery series, Wendelin Van Draanen pays homage to the mystery genre. This book is a classic locked-room whodunnit—Sammy Keyes style.
The Sammy Keyes mysteries are fast-paced, funny, thoroughly modern, and true whodunits. Each mystery is exciting and dramatic, but it's the drama in Sammy's personal life that keeps readers coming back to see what happens next with her love interest Casey, her soap-star mother, and her mysterious father.

I tried to stretch out reading Sammy Keyes and the Killer Cruise because I read on Wendelin Van Draanen's blog that this is the last (LAST!) Sammy Keyes book in Sammy's voice. (So the next, and truly final, Sammy Keyes book will be narrated by someone else? I think? I can't find where I read that, but I swear I read that a while ago.) Anyway, I basically failed to make Killer Cruise last and plowed through the book in two days. Another fun Sammy Keyes adventure.I love how Van Draanen describedI cant even begin to describe how sad I am that the Sammy Keyes series will soon be coming to an end. Sadly there is only one more book after this one. After 18 books, author Wendelin Van Draanen has decided it is time to say goodbye to Sammy and her friends. I feel like Im losing a real friend, because thats how Sammy has always felt to me. I have followed and loved this character since the beginning, devouring each book as soon as it was out, while anxiously awaiting the next. How could I not
Ten times better than the last Sammy Keyes. I have to accept the fact that Sammy Keyes will never be the way it was before, and that she is going to have a boyfriend that she is mushy with and has a rockstar dad. But the mystery was pretty enjoyable and the mushy part of it wasn't bad at all. I still hold Sammy Keyes in high respect.I was hoping that the ending would be a little darker or more twisted, but the fact that it almost went in that direction at all was pretty impressive, considering

Once again, kudos to Sammy Keyes! Her character is immensely lovable and enjoyable to read. Of course, great writing, great plot and somehow still surprising!I love the relationship between Sammy and her dad. All the characters- Marko, Darren, Marissa- were incredibly vivid and not flat at all. So glad I've gotten back into the series!Although- really this is a teen read and is not very realistic with the portrayal of multiple relationships. Or maybe that's me being pessimistic. I still think
Love me some good Sammy Keyes. Her relationship with her father in this book made it one of my favorites.
I didnt really like it. In my opinion it was a little bit boring in the middle of the book I wanted to close it and like to stop reading but I continued. To see maybe at the end it could be better but I didnt get better it. But the start was interesting learning the Characters
I really enjoyed this book even though it seemed to be geared towards teens (and maybe even pre-teens!). It was a fun read - nothing too serious but still had some suspense and some "whodunit" mystery to it. I really LOVE cruises which is how I found this book so the fact that the book takes place on the cruise was even more fun to me than it might be for the regular reader. This is book #17 and I never read any others in the series but didn't feel lost or anything - I don't know if this is
