"Rank does not confer privilege or give power. It imposes responsibility."Your Leadership Edge claims "it's just not another guide", but it felt exactly like that, completely ordinary and unexceptional. A summary of known ideas. To be fair, I haven't read a lot of books on the topic of leadership/management. But the advice here did not surprise me or taught me a lot new things. Read like a management 101 book for the majority of the book. Nothing new or exciting. Some chapters dragged on long after the point was made. Also, the structure of the book seemed very poorly put together, although that may have just been an ebook issue.
