Three extraordinary lives, the style is similar to other books of Erich Segal. The book was informative for people who are not aware of Jewish and Christian traditions and ceremonies.The character of Deborah was the best among the three, the timeline and sequence of events happening in her life were great, except that, it didn't get a good climax it deserved. A daughter who was removed from the house, who later eloped like a rebel from aunt's house and finally returned home to live the life she#ActsOfFaith by #ErichSegalDid I like this book? Absolutely. Was it a page Turner? Yes, again(except a few phases in between) . Did it make me think about a lot of things in the real world? A triumphant yes again and probably the biggest reason why I picked it up in the first place. Did I agree with the author's thought process/views on religion (Roman Catholic and Judaism in this case) which he tried to portray through his three central characters? Such a great book !!! This book is such a great story of a timeless love between faith and between two humans. You feel their struggles as the learn to live their lives apart and together.
Sometimes you grab a book casually and it turns out to be un-put-downable. From the beginning till the end you will be living the lives of the three characters. People of God who still long to be human and frequently oscillate between these two worlds. Unclear about what destiny has in store for them, they just try to live in their present. From New York to Rome to Jerusalem. The story travels across the globe and through decades of life. I am not sure why the book Love Story by Erich Segal is
Great story, amazing detail of the faiths...at times, a little too much detail. But not too much as to distract from the story. Or the connection you feel with the characters. Definitely kept me wanting to get back to my book, and not put it down. A great read, just like Doctors.
A complete page turner, despite its hefty 500+ pages.It was an enlightening read, with regards to the Jewish culture and history, and it had a lot of insights into Christianity.At times the religious aspects of the book are overwhelming, but, those are definitely overcome by how much you get to learn about these religions. The story takes us through New York, Israel, Brazil and Rome, and is never a drag to read. Yes, it is a little predictable, and maybe Daniel should have had a bit more
