I found this book of the Watch series really hard to get into.I suppose because Lukyanenko's morose and realistic writing was great for Night Watch but was totally depressing and frustrating in Day Watch. Told from the perspective of Alisa, a Dark One, readers delve further into the grey ambiguities of good and evil. I was reduced to tears by the complexities of Alisa's nature.
