Representaion Supposing Books Shadow of the Sun (Timeless #1)
Gabriella's past is a mystery, but that never stopped her from achieving her goals. As a supernatural specialist, and far more intelligent than anyone her age, she has always been ignored by her peers. Because of the isolation she has always felt, she put her life and soul into her job. Being a supernatural specialist hasn't given her the divine intervention she always longed for, until one day a shipment arrives from Italy containing three dead bodies with an uncanny ability to regenerate. Gabriella is frightened and intrigued, but not as scared as she becomes when a dark creature attacks her.As the bodies come back to life, the plot takes an unexpected twist that you won't see coming. The supernatural world only begins to unfold before her as angels appear, her dreams start to haunt her, and the very past she has forgotten comes back with startling clarity. Romance blooms, escape plans are made, an assassin is out to kill her, and death is only around the corner. But what is more terrifying than all of it is the fact she is the chosen one, the Illuminator, the one who will save them all.

First of all, I absolutely love the cover for this book! It is insanely beautiful and just amazing. This is what first drew me in to look at this series and I can certainly say that I was not disappointed. I wasn't really sure about the story when I first started it, but the more I read the more I wanted to keep reading. Putting it down to go to bed was nearly impossible, I was so in to it.Laura Kreitzer not only came up with a unique take on angels, but is also a fabulous story teller.GabriellaWhat can I say, you think you know where the story is going, then Laura has a way of throwing twist after twist to throw you off. I loved it from start to finish and look forward to book two 'Soul Stalker'. The perception Laura has created for the angels is very well done and very different from anything I have ever read.
Flunked the 100 page test.Interesting concept and development, but sophomoric storytelling. Unlikely even young readers would enjoy. Two stars is a gift for the good concept.

I was and still am in love with this book. From the very first line I was drawn in. There are only a few books that have grabbed my attention from the beginning (i.e. Twilight & Harry Potter to name a couple). Once I started reading, I wasn't able to put it down unless I was falling asleep or working. Although, there was one time I fell asleep with the book in my hands, but that's besides the point. This is an awesome read if you love the supernatural, romance, angels, etc. What happens is
Reviewed by Rabid Reads. When I saw that this book was next up on my to-be-read pile I started berating myself over accepting yet another book for review before researching it properly. It's a bad habit of mine that I'm trying to correct. This novel has all of the warning signs that I usually try to avoid; it's long and self-published. Fortunately for me, there are exceptions to the rule and Shadow of the Sun is definitely one of them. I loved this book! In fact, after finishing it I'm tempted to
4.5 starsShadow Of The Sun is a uniquely woven story about Angels, Guardians and Shadows and Soul Catchers. It's vivid and richly detailed history is something I've never read before, and I found myself so taken away with the story, that when I finished it I wanted more. This is far from your typical angel book. There is so many elements, surprises and bits of realism that I really surprised myself and finished this 500+ page book within a few hours. Aside from some wonderful characters, the
This review will sound strange. I'm giving 2 stars to a book I didn't like and I haven't even finished it yet. I still have another 200 pages to go but I just can't be bothered anymore. I'm putting it down for a few months and I hope this is just because of the state of mind I'm in, and not because the book sucks. I thought about this all day. The general storyline is good, the concept interesting and the characters are pretty likable. What's not to love, right?I'm all for sensitivity and
